Anyone interested in tour skiing this year?

It's about that time of year to start thinking about the coming ski season. Rather than pay up, queue up, and join the herd of skiiers rushing down the hill just to ride back up again, I thought this year to spend more time the back country and actually enjoy the mountains (and avoid gaining those winter kilos) by doing some tour skiing.

It would be nice to get a group of like-minded people together. Interested? Let me know.

Hey, thanks for the heads up. Of course I forgot to click "All Cities" when looking before.

Still would be nice to find some interested people in the Bern area.

Of course I did not think of checking where you live. Being small minded everything seems to centre on Geneva.  One way is to go with the Swiss alpine Club membership around 120 francs per year

This one is in Bern but there are others in Canton Bern

Also like in Geneva there will be other

mountain clubs

From March onwards I am totally in for such ski tours! So let me know if you are planning something around that time!
Cheers

Hello I live in Lausanne and looking for friends to go tour skiing:

there are some nice spots quite close such as Folly, Dent de Vallerette, Hundsrugg (near Jaunpass) and Grand-St-Bernard: safe places I mean in terms of avalanches.

I am definitely going on February 15.

Anybody interested?

Let me know

Aline

I hope the chanoines do not read your post.  In general the col GSB is OK but not when there is a high avalanche risk (3+).  Combes des morts where the six scouts died and the slope you have to traverse before you reach the first tunnel in Italy.

It is true that there are plenty of avalanche free areas to ski eg Hundsruck as you say but have not checked the other two on the map to see how steep the slopes are

The Diablerets section of the CAS is active and they also do courses in ski de randonnée.  There is a ski touring group on glocals
