Ski de fond/cross country skiing in Verbier?

Hello all -this question is for all you cross country skiiers out there: are there good options for this sport in Verbier? We have the tempting possibility to spend Xmas in Val de Ferret, and wonder about the options for ski de fond. Any tips on where to go and overall opinion? Seems this chalet is also close to Val d/Entremeont and Val de Bagnes. Thanks for any suggestions on this one and happy skiing to all! -Claudia
