Actually I dont think this will be a problem for you in football crazy basel and surroundings. Do you stay in the city or surroundings, depending where you are there are plenty football clubs around.

Yes I live in Basel. I know there are many fields and teams in the city, but I haven't found one to join.

If american football there are two teams. Basel Meanmachine and the Basel Gladiators.
