Proffesional portrait for a drink/ a movie/ a dinner...

Hello everyone!

Since I love to exchange, and since I'm a professional photographer (Http://www.sofieluyten.be), I would love to make you some very nice portraits in stead of something you would like to give (I love wine, dinners, nature (I still have to explore a lot in Suisse!), chocolates, movies....)

Oh, I believe a lot of being 'photogenic' has a lot to do with the quality of the camera and/or photographer...

A lot of times you see pictures of yourselves taken very quickly, and it was just your bad side, or your eyes were half closed or whatever... But if someone 'with a good eye' with a good camera takes his time to make some nice shots, and you take the time to let him/her do her job, you'll have a lot of pictures you'll like of yourself, I'm sure!

Sofie, I pass through Gland every day when I travel home from work.  I'd love to do this, and my family wants a good picture of my ugly self.

Maybe it's best to try in a few weeks when there is better light in the evening?

Hi Richard,

Nice that you're interested!

I indeed prefer natural light to make a portrait. And because I need to work untill 7pm, I think that might be difficult in weekdays, even in some months (and I don't stay untill summer). So - or we try with artificial light (I also have a good flash, if there is someone who could assist me, we can work with that also), or we do it in the weekends (but the first 2 weekends, I'll be busy)

Just send me a message with your preferation.

Greets,

Sofie

Hi Sofia,

I'll be celebrating my 35-th birthday in March. Would like to give myself something special - what about me making and/or teaching you make sushi/ chinese dumplings/  chinese dishes in exchange? Would you be interested?

Cheers,

Cindy

Hi Cindy,

Thanks a lot for your reply!

I would be happy to make you a nice birthday-portrait.

I don't know chinese food very well, but I'll be happy to try :) (I don't eat meat though, but I do eat fish)

Just send me a message to settle a date and a place.

Hi Sofie

As you said, a good piture is about the person taking it and the camera ... I only have 1 picture taken by a professional and would love to have a second one.

In exchange I could buy you dinner or a movie (depending on what you are up for on the day)

Also I would like to take photography as a hobby and am looking for some advice on how to choose a camera :) any advices you may have are welcome :)

Cheers

If you ever come down to geneva I'd be really interested (the process as well, I am a (very) amateur potographer.

A wine or the Black movie festival is what I would suggest in exchange.

Interesting pictures (those self prtraits?)

Hi,

Are you still taking photos?
I was jsut thinking about this today, I have no good photos of myself for use on forum profiles etc.

Not sure what I can offer in return, certainly something like wine, dinner or nature.

Hi Sophie,

Great initiative, but who'll retain copyright of the picture? :)

Thank you all for your replies, but at the moment I'm already back in Belgium, so I'm sorry, but I won't be able to exchange anymore...

Maybe if you visit Belgium :)
