I just bought a portable recording system (Presonus Firestudio for those who know)
I still struggle to use the machine to its optimum capacity and succeed to create the sound/effects I want to
Who could give me a short training?

I think next week could be better for me, I'll check it...
First let me know how you'll work with, I mean pc or mac?
Which program will you use? Cubase, Protools or whatever...
etc.

Ok...
First Audacity is a great tool to edit samples but far from a real tool to record voices because I think if you only use Audacity you must record something...
If you plan to learn composing my advice will go to a product like Sonar, or Cubase which can mix both composing and recording...
If you plan to get more professional in future, work directly on ProTools which is an actual industry standard... but more difficult to take in hands...
The firestudio is a great gear and you need a good software to really take the power out of this box...
And to be honnest it's not really a product for newbie but for already advanced user...

Hi Kev
Tks for your reply. I have simply been using Studio One Artist software that come with firestudio to record sounds and it is precisely to use that software that I need help. Do you know that one? I guess must be similar to others in the market...
Of course material is probably of high standard for my needs but it is quality...

I'm an animation student with an idea for my next project... but I need good sound recording for it to work. Either of you willing to record me and six other 20-something female voicesn for a five-minute clip?
Best,
Katie
