learning japanese isn't that easy especially the reading and writing, you may learn katakan but learning the kanji requires a lot of efforts and time.(i learnt approx 600 in a year) you can learn basic coverstaions and greetings on the internet.

They use san at the end of the name of a adult and chan for a child.
