What do you do with Christmas trees in Geneva? Is there a place where they can be recycled?

In the city people usually put their trees out beside the rubbish bins on any regular collection day. The communes have their own arrangements, so better check with the Mairie if you don’t live in town.
You should also have received a copy of the collection calendar that the “Voirie” distributes in letter-boxes every year.
If you didn’t get one, there are always copies available – and lots of other useful information – at “Espace Ville de Genève on Pont de la Machine.

Durant tout le mois de janvier, le service Voirie-Ville propre ramassera vos sapins de Noël les lundis, mardis, jeudis et vendredis, aux mêmes emplacements que les ordures ménagères.
In January, the rubbish people will collect your trees on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, next to the regular garbage cans.
