These girls kind of sound like idiots....but I must agree. Geeks are waaaaay better than the suave ego-maniacs.  The only downside is that some geeks talk of nothing but how smart they are (which also falls into the ego-maniac category).  However almost all of the geeks I know have a really good sense of humor, don't take themselves too seriously and are far more generous in all types of ways.

So, there IS hope for all of us geeks after all!

Time for reality check: Unfortunately lovely Megs & the two girls in the video are in a tiny, tiny, tiny minority. Good guys always come last (statistically speaking)!

I'm just an (aging) average "Joe" ... but from personal experience, all the times I have played the fool or the "travel agent" just for a laugh or the "tour guide", I was way more popular than when I said what I do for my work or how I spend my leisure time.

... but that was in England. Geneva is very different from any other place on Earth. The average person I meet, regardless of age, is sooooo accomplished that I don't feel I need to hide my passions and pleasures. 

Having said that, still good guys come last, even here. Though the label "jock" is totally American, the bad boys with the long legs and maybe a little bit of good looks always get the attention of the (best, as in the most decent) girls first. Only (some) women in their thirties and forties, usually after some/many diappointments, may begin to consider geeks or non-jocks over the jocks.

Even in Geneva there is no escaping our 2 millions years of genetic eveolution. But do note, I am generalising of course. I have met some fabulous young girls who are devoted to their boyfriends and husbands whom you might class as geeks or at least not jocks. But they are very much the minority.

But statistically, my generalisation is true, the world over.

I've met Omegaman - he's good a guy. And in this city of tens of thousands of smart girls (& guys), Omegaman & other good guys have a better chance than anywhere else on Earth. But still our evolution is firmly at work!

First one (me) came up with anything stupid comin out of his mouth which had her in tears ..she even proposed that i do stand up comedy in hollywood! now exit guy no 1 (thankgod)

Second guy (an italian stallion) started the manipulation with his sweet talk straight into the womans  eardrums...exit the 2nd guy

Third guy (the italian lethal finisher) took off with her..next morning i got an sms saying : "guys once u go asian, u dont go back caucasian"

And the good news is, smart guys & girls can learn to do that a little better than they may be doing already. Jocks on the other hand can never be any different ..

... but then I guess they don't need to ... hmmm, back to the drawing board

Actually, guys have it real easy in Geneva. So many beautiful girls and not enough men to go around. I don't think men in Geneva need to be smooth operators. Most girls despise smooth operators. A decent guy will do the job.

OK, lets make a distinction here ... what the Amerficans call 'jocks' are very different characters from the 'smooth operators'.

Yes Sman, girls do despise smooth operators (so do guys) if only they could spot them! but they can't until it is too late.If they look smooth, then they really are NOT. If they just look likeable/a little dangerous/etc that make you curious then they may or may not be smooth but you won't know.

I have heard them described with all sorts of terms: bad boys (with a good heart), loveable rogues, cool guys with a deep sentitive soul and many more.

In the end bad boys are just bad or rougues or cold, etc. Again I'm talking in gereral terms and sure there're of course exceptions (very few).

Now while, geeks, good guys etc cannot be jocks, they can operate a little more smoothly to get past the early negative impressions and be able to show their good side to the girls. (Actually I have to tell you it works both ways - but that's another subject alltogether).

Hence guys, drumm rolls please ... enter Sam's video - guys take note - very educational, though funny too. Thanks Sam ...
