There's an Internations Group in Brussels. http://www.internations.org/users/world
It could be worth trying. I used to be in Paris, and they were quite active there.

when i was in brussels there was a similar type group called "friends" and their activities were published in a local english language magazine called the bulletin.

In Brussels I used Couchsurfing.com and Hospitalityclub.org. they are making meetings , they can help you with infos etc etc.
