Honey

Does anyone know where I can buy pure/raw honey (and not the supermarket variety)?

Thanks.

I buy the large (1kg) yellow pots (not glass jars) of honey from Yves MICHAUD, which you can buy easily in supermarkets in France (eg. Casino and Spar), and smaller pots are on sale in Denner. It says on the pot "Miel extrait a froid pour preserver toutes ses qualites". It's thick honey, and there are a couple of varieties, from different regions/plants. I think it's good value and a good honey.

There is a BIO shop on Rue des Eaux-Vies, 25.

I dont think the shop has a name but outside the shop, it says "Produits BIO".

They sell Raw honey there.

A 250 gm bottle costs between CHF 12 to 18...

This is the one I buy from there incase thats helpful. (see the pgotos)

First 100% BIO honey is not possible, because bees fly and collect everywhere. so it could be from the forest but also back yard gardens or farms with Pesticides and ohter GMO plant flowers. so I know in meyrin a farmer, has bees and colects and sells his honey at CHF 9- for 500g, yeah half the price for twice the amount. and its Raw honey.

Mr. Gerber Werner, 4 rue de la Bergère, 1217 Meyrin, 022 782 7974

he has also fresh vegies and seasonal fruits. He put them on a table with a jar for people to pay, totally trusting honesty. Call him and ask if he has honey to sell but he is really old and does not speak english, and I think he lives on the total basics, poor pensioner,  but what is great, is the area is close to farms, forest, etc. so the honey is a mix of pollen and is very nice and smooth and creamy, not clear.
