Hello all,
We are considering buying a house in the Pays de Gex area, love the location, proximity to CERN, tram, and it looks terribly charming but we are a bit worried about the agriculture in the area. We have never lived in the countryside or near farms and crop fields and so we started to do some research on the use of pesticides in the area.. It seems like France in general is one of the worst countries in terms of amount of pesticides / fungacides used, but areas around Geneva seems to have the lowest concentration.
Does anyone live in the area and knows more about this issue?
The house we are considering is in Sergy and about 50 meters from a wheat field.
Thanks..
Tina
