Piano lessons?

Greetings,

I am looking to pick up another hobby, and I have been thinking of starting (beginner) piano lessons here in Geneva. Can anyone recommend any reasonably priced piano teacher in this region who can teach in English?

I am not sure if its a good idea, since I don't have a piano to practice at home, but I have been looking for something artistic to do, and piano has been appealing to me lately.

Thanks, Angelos

Hi, I am taking piano lessons in Morges, so I cannot offer you a teacher. But related to your problem how to get a piano I can recommend you to rent one. It is about 40-50 CHF per month and some shops deduct it from the selling price once you decide to buy.

Good luck!Wink

Thanks for you messages. The idea of renting a piano is a very convinient one - I was not aware that one would could do that.

I think also you can find quite a lot of similar ads at the Conservatory (the side of Place Neuve closest to PlainPalais.) I think all music students (and also those who have finished their studies) are in need of extra cash.

You could also check the Conservatoir Populaire.
