I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post question like the one below, but anyway :)
Is here anyone who is lifting weights (squat, benchpress, deadlift)? Actually there is a name for the sport - POWERLIFTING (in case if you do this sport and don't even know the name:)).
It would be great if there is some competition level powerlifters - let me know. If you don't even know what this sport is but want to start, I can explain/show/help (fun for me, muscle pain for you).

Hi there. The gym 'American Fitness' (near the vernet ice rink) is full of weightlifters like you describe, many of whom I am sure compete. Check out their website and perhaps you can find people there to lift with.
