Network with two PC.s, one XP the other Windows 7 - is that impossible ?

Hello,

Is it possible or not to connect two PC's, one XP and the other Windows 7, through a local network ?  In either case, if anybody knows I would appreciate knowing where I can find the official website confirming this.

Thanks for any hint you can give me in this matter.

that should work fine. You just have to make sure they are in the same Workgroup and/or have addresses on the same network (should be, if the IP address is coming from DHCP server) and/or turn on sharing.

What are you trying to do? Copy files from one to the other?

If both computers are able to access the internet independently, then they should both be able to access the other PC. You just may need to do some configuration on one or both computers.

If they are both laptops, then bring them to my Computer Support meeting next week and I'll show you how...

PM me if you want more detailed help.
