Remembering your First Day!

As the summer vacation is almost over and school will be opening soon.

I wanted to share a funny first day during my Pre-school days.

On my first day in my Pre-school. I pulled back the chair of my classmate and he fell hard on the floor. My mum had to be called at the Principal's office later that afternoon.

On our way home, my mum asked me why did I do that?
Me: He was late and noisy crying, and calling his mum inside the room. It's a school for kids, not for mums.

Of course, at home there was a long sermon with mum, my grannies, my aunts. My cousins told me that, If I will do it again, I will be in Juvie and will be send to the orphnage.

Years later, we met at our class reunion, and he still remember that first day. He said: damn, woman that was one of the most aweful moment I had as a kid!

We are still good friends up to this date.

So what's your first day story? ^__^

I don't have a good 1st day story, but my own kid is starting school in 1 week, and I admit I'm scared about his 1st day. You hear all these stories about bullies at school, and I'm guessing it's every parents' worst nightmare to think that his/her kid will be picked on.

As the kid of a diplomat I had lots of first days, everytime we moved country. I always went to local schools (not international ones) since it made the locals accept us more...

So in the West Indies it was finding out that I could easily pick up a Trini accent and coming come to tell "me dada dat me got a lickin on de hand from da teecha caz me nat been listenin to ha proparly , man" _ to which my father blanked me and went back to reading his paper...

In Africa it was realising that I could run fast as hell in flip flops....

Life was much more interesting back then....

First day in kindergarten and as we all sat down at our desk/tables the teacher said "ok, come and get your school milk ( 1/4 pint ) and take 2 cookiies"  from her own special tin.

I went back to my seat and opened my milk and started eating my cookies. to the teacher's horror she said "Roger! you've already eaten your cookies without waiting to say grace"!!! i was embarassed for sure, but when she said, " now, come up here and take two more cookies and say grace with everyone" i knew i was on to a good thing. ha ha.

I remember sleeping in my grandparents' bed (my parents were at a party downstairs), and finding sweets under the pillow. I tried one but it tasted horribly so I spit it out.

Turns out they were my grandma's anti-conception pills. Because they didn't know how many I ate they called doctor who forced me to drink a glass of salted water, which tasted even worse than the pill.

I asked my parents about this story a few years ago; they were surprised I remembered it, and thought I must have been 2 or 3 at the time.

I just realized you asked about first day at school, not first memory. Oh well, too late now.

I know what you feel. Oh well, I guess everyone will go through this process, when I transferred to another school, I had a hard time too, but mum was always been there to cheer me up, and supporting me..^_^... I guess communication is really important. ^_^

My mum was sick, so she decided to send me to my first school day with my “older sister” (I was six, she was nine – the good old days...). Nine y/o but evil!!

She took me to the gate, and started running away telling the guard to take me to the first grade class.

I started running behind her, crying and scared to death. But too late, gate closed!
The outcome, I peed my pants, and they were khaki!!!

I spent the whole day with a big wet spot on my khaki pants and later I had to go home covering the mess with my school bag.

I have never forgiven the evil woman who is now my 45 y/o sister, for that day, but I had to take her kid the first day to school….

Years later I was talking to my younger sister’s boyfriend and told him the story. His reply: “At least yours was only a pee!!!”

Beat that!

Nyahahaha.... 9 y/o but evil... funny!

I guess most of the first borns are bullies to their younger siblings.

I am the eldest of 3 siblings... mwahahahahahha... Tongue out

I got a classmate in Primary who actually dropped a bomb inside our classroom because he was scared of our math teacher... :(...

My first day was okay. Nothing traumatic, not picked on, had a bad time or anything like that.

However, on the second morning when my mum woke me up and said I needed to go to school, I replied, "It's alright, I've already been!"

LOL..

It reminds me of my youngest nephew. He didn't go back to school in the afternoon because apparently there's no school in the afternoon.

My cousin asked the teacher the next day, and the teacher told my cousin that she was puzzled why my nephew didnt go back in the afternoon class.

So there was an interrogation, and my nephew said:

" I already went in the morning, why should I go in the afternoon?, Mum, you dont go to the market 2x a day right? You only go in the morning..."

Tongue out
