Not really...how would you open the windox ? Most cars already have this when you lower and raise the window...

Would you open the window if there was puring rain or snow outside ?

The window would be in the same state again when you have closed it, when its raining.

Even if you would lower or raise the window the window would still not be clear.

Back on the topic, Yes I would appreciate that. I normally go around my car before entering to wipe away fresh rain from the windows and mirrors.  I have used the products which cause the water to form beads and roll off the screen at speed, they are especially efficient in heavy rain on fast roads.  More recently I have been preoccupied with other things however (mostly children) so haven't taken the time to apply it - I was using Rain-X

I'm afraid I would not buy it.

If it were a problem (and 99% of the time it is not), then I'd use "rain X", it's working, and it's cheap.

And don't get me wrong, as I drive a race car on an ice track, I'm facing situations were looing at your trajectory through the side window is not an option, but even under these conditions, it's not a problem.

You might have a look at (power) boats, maybe it's more suitable....dunno.

Don't be discouraged or encouraged by opinions in this forum. If you have an idea and can develop a prototype, patent it, and then find a way to bring it up to one of the auto manufacturers. If it is something that would be attached to the cars, above or below the side windows, or include a filament like the ones on rear windows, that would be most likely something that would best be installed during manufacture. Car companies would have a better sense of whether this is something consumers would embrace. If auto manufacturers give you the kind of negative response you are getting here, then you have your answer.
