Silouhette Child Care?

My wife is thinking about joining the gym Silouhette and the in-house child care while you work out is one of the selling points. Does anyone have any experience with this child care? How is it (i.e., is the minder competent, is it clean, provisions for emergencies, etc.)

Also, do any other gyms provide in-house child care while you exercise?

Thanks!

Simply go and have a look. It is much easier. There are plenty of Silhouette`s gyms and each have a different boss. Often only French speakers. So check out the one wheere your wife wants to go.

Thanks very much - we will be taking a loot tomorrow but would be good to get other's experiences. For example, it may look good but then when you go away, the minder acts different, etc.

Also would be interested to know if any other gyms in Geneva offer this service? Can't find any online, but that is not to say it doesn't happen.

Be careful with Silhouette, the customer service is really poor.

Maybe holmes place has but it is a very rare service in Geneva. If she is an out doors exercise person she can consider joining the mums group that exercises outdoors from spring. They usually advertise on glocals.

Also note that it is not all the silhouettes that have this service so she will have to go to specific ones. The only thing I heard about the one that a friend used was they do not really take care of the children. It is more of a child friendly space. For instance if the child needs too much attention, the team will just call the mother. They are not really a child care service as much as a child friendly space. (Not sure if it makes sense).

You may have got something organised by now.

Silhouette only advertise childcare at Petit-Lancy and Maunoir. Another option could be to enroll at  a fitness club in a shopping centre (Balexert / La Praille....) and leave your children at the centre's "garderie". Balexert - Frs.6 per hour (3-8 years) La Praille - Frs.7 per hour (2-10 years).

Yes, it could work out expensive, depending on the membership price/ frequency.
