A couple were Christmas shopping. The shopping centre was packed , and as the wife walked through one of the malls she was surprised when she looked around to find that her husband was nowhere to be seen.


She was quite upset because they had a lot to do and so she became so worried that she called him on her mobile phone to ask him where he was.


In a quiet voice he said, "Do you remember the jewelers we went into about five years ago where you fell in love with that diamond necklace that we couldn't afford, and I told you that I would get it for you one day?"


The wife choked up and started to cry and said, "Yes, I do remember that shop."


He replied, "Well, I'm in the pub next door."

Here's another one...


 


Proudly showing off  his newly-leased downtown apartment to a couple of friends late one
night, a drunk Maori led the way to his bedroom where there was a big brass
gong hanging on the wall.

'What's that big brass gong for?' one of the friend's asked.

'Issss nod a gong. Issss a talking Australian clock' he drunkenly replied.

A talking Australian clock...seriously?

'Yup.' 'Hmmm (hic).'

'How's it work?' the second friend asked, squinting at it.

'Just watch' he said.

He picked up a hammer, gave the gong an 'ear-shattering bash' and stepped back.

His three mates stood looking at one another for a moment in astounded
silence.

Suddenly, a Australian voice from the other side of the wall screamed,


*moderated*
It's ten past three in the morning !!!'
