If no one steps up, you can use a formal service that receives packages in France and then keeps the packages for the owner. Let me know if you don't find someone

Thank you for your advice. I tried the colis relais around Ferney but either the package is too big (it is a bicycle, I agree it is not a standard package!) or they only take packages from selected senders like DHL. Please advise me if you have found a good place that might accept it. I don't mind paying for the service.

you should try to send it to your attention as  "poste restante" to Ferney-Voltaire's post office.

When mentionning this, the post office keeps your packages for several days, a week or 2 if I remember, for small fees.

I often receive packages this way when it's too complicated to send to Switzerland.

When ordering online, if you can choose the "point relais" option with "poste restante" then take it, if not available or sending yourself a package, then mention the following address:

first name Last name

Poste restante

1 Avenue Voltaire

01210 Fernery-voltaire

France

Oh, if you just need an address to send it to, you can send it to me, but i live further than Ferney. If you can come with a car to pick it up (10 mins from Ferney).
