You can also find cars in the Ghi, but if you want a really cheap car you probably wont be able to avoid dents etc :-)

You mean buying a second hand car without getting ripped off, being a woman and a foreigner???
Learn to talk about cars like men do, pretend you know something about cars, really helps.
Another option is bringing a male friend who criticizes the state of the car as much as possible, before you start negotiating the price.

I want to sell mine, its a citroen xsara from 2001 its in a very good condition. If you want I can show it to you. I sell it for 5000 chf as it is. Its really worth it I sell it becase I want to buy a convertible this summer

Well i bought mine from someone on glocals - if you are flexible on the type of car then you can find some great bargains when people are leaving the country.

on rte de lonay there is a tamoil garage that sells used cars and they are well maintained.
i bought a 2nd hand opel corsa with 114'000 kms for 2'000 sfr.
looked like a rental car.....clean and trouble free.
drove it for 2yrs and only added gas and some oil. never did a service. great investment.
it's just outside of morges, close to you.

I am only in Swiss for 2yrs so i dont want to put alot of money into a car and have the hassle of trying to sell it at the end of my stay..
My propblem was that i have been looking around garages and only finding cars that had lots of damage and high mileage and they still wanted up to 70000 chf for them!
I need this car to last me 2 years with minimal outlay (but dont we all!)..
