I have a question about returning old appliances to stores and shops. I have an old toaster that isn't working anymore and I have no idea where it was bought. I vaguely remember hearing or reading that we can recycle old appliances at shops such as Fust when they are no longer functioning. Is this true and can I return it to any shop? Is the shop obliged to take it? Or does it have to be returned to the place where it was bought? On new items I have bought in Geneva, I have been paying a recycling tax on top of the price of the item, so I would assume all shops need take whatever old appliances are returned to them.
If nothing else, I suppose I could leave it out on the days where the city comes pick up household items.
