Hi! I've been around glocals for a while and altough I don't participate much in the forums I sometimes read the threads, and the ones from you, Caroline have me absolutely puzzled.

The thing is I don't know if all the messages from one member can be searched but as far as I remember:

- I think it was you who wrote a message saying that was desperately looking for a job for her husband, saying that would even offer 200chf, because that's all you had.

- A few weeks later, there's a post asking for advice to buy a car, not any car, the Audi was the only option, not precisely cheap.

- Now I see another looking for a bmw

- Then you're not looking for a date and write this post...

Do u wake up every morning and change completely your mind or is it me who doesn't read the posts well?

the forum is the unexpected avenue for some people alone at home and desesperately seeking company. then they do everything and anything to get attention...obviously with success

First of all I have not posted a thread desperately seeking a job for my husband - I might have commented on it but the poster was someone else - I am not even married!

Secondly, as I have written in the reason post "seeking cute boys" it was AN EXPERIMENT that came from another post, and I am NOT looking for a date, I just dont know how to delete it again.

And regarding my search for a car yes I was looking for a an Audi A4 however if you had thoroughly read my post on BMW I assume you would have understood.

Is there anything else I can help you understand and can you help me understand why it should be any of your business whatever I feel like posting :-)

Hi Caroline, it just seemed to me that there was a lot of contradiction, but your response makes sense.

If it is or not my business, once you post something in the forum it is everyones business to comment whatever they want about it, that's the beauty of it.

If I remember right, the point of glocals is to be a community of expats. You can't have a community with anonymity. Glocals used to have a very nice feature "View this member's forum posts" which was encouraged to be used to find out more about people. I used to use it a lot on the old site, but I can't find it on the new site. You could definitely tell the serial jokers and plotters from the really helpful and genuine people. Does anyone know where this feature is now?

P.S. In my proud opinion, it's not "a little experiment" to mislead anyone, ever. I can't believe there are groups that come up with these silly ideas. Is it the supposed anonymity that makes people so bold?

Pepso: If you READ the entire thread you can probably figure out it was a respond to a post from Moonfleet in another thread ;-)

Anyhow a lady in this other thread received the suggestion "to just ask cute Glocals guys to take her out to have fun" and my respond was that this was not a good idea or would even be understood correctly by all the "cute glocals guys" - following a little debate I decided to prove my point - as you can guess most responses came in private formate however....

You didn't know who would respond to your post. Thus the audience of your post is anonymous to you. It would not be appropriate to ask a guy in person to take you out, then be like "Sorry, just an experiment!" In fact, I think if you did that you'd be thought of as not a very nice person. I think that anything that I wouldn't do to one person, I wouldn't do to random people I don't know. It certainly doesn't seem right. 

The original post is not a crazy post at all. I mean, is it so weird for a girl to want to have fun with a cute boy and go out on the town? 

Oh... wait, we're in Geneva, no one is allowed to have fun, right? :)

Next time post:

"Horny Danish girl is looking for crazy wild sex with the first guy that replies to this post."

That's at least a little crazy, because everyone knows Danish girls have conventional boring sex. :)

the results are a load of rubbish, all you have listed is the total possible out comes, you could have listed those at the start.  Unless there was a possible out come that didnt occur in the responses and I am wrong.
