Colleagues to me, coming soon from all over Europe, for a conference, in your opinion what is the best restaurant to go to dinner in Geneva ?
I had thought about going to the Swiss Chalet, in Paquis but if you different ideas ...
Merci

The Restaurant in Hotel Edelweiss - excellent fondue and jodeling

Cheep and cheerful, with the locals and expats; reserve in advance - and payment is CASH.

I also thought the hotel hedelweiss, I confirm that it is excellent!
But I'm not sure that all my colleagues love cheese (too bad for them ..!) I thought something so with traditional Swiss food (like fondue) but internationnal for them who do not like cheese
The restaurant les Armures, in the old town, is a nice alternative.
Any other ideas? for more complicated .. easily accessible by public bus
Thank you

A lot depends on how much you want to spend, the size of the group and their agility.
“Les Armures” is a traditional choice but the last mini-bus leaves “Rive” at 19:45, after that it’s a steep walk up and down the hill.
Filets de perche at Genthod is another possibility but, again, a short walk down and up from the lakeside is involved.
The “Parc des Eaux-Vives” and the “Lion d’Or” in Cologny are both accessible by public transport but check whether they fit your budget.
One other thing to remember about fondue is that some people find the very smell of cheese distasteful.
Sorry not to be more helpful but hope you find something that suits.

Daer Ritchie,
Thank you for your ideas. It's appreciate
Les Armures, it's fine, and very close to public bus, but i want another alternative.
Genthod, to far from downtown...
Parc des Eaux-vives, and Lion d'Or, maybe a bit to much expansive...
And you are totally right with the smell of cheese, maybe someone's don't like, it's the reason i dont want to go a place like "bains des Paquis"
The group its 20-25 persons

Then what about the “Verandah” restaurant of the Hotel Montbrillant behind the railway station. Traditional menus and good service. It’s very popular with families for Sunday lunch.

"Au Carnivore" near Place du Bourg-de-Four is also a good choice. Plus, the old town is always a nice place for an after-dinner stroll.

Petrus near Parc de Bastions is very good and they often have a 30% discount if you book via lafourchette.com

Dear All
a big thank you for your comments.
I finally booked in the restaurant "Cave Valaisanne Chalet Suisse" menu in English, possibilities to pay in euros, multiple choice of meals, like international food and of course traditional swiss meals
Merci
