Considering move to St Cergue
Hi

We are thinking of moving to St Cergue from Geneva and we'd be interested to know:

i) Does anyone here live up there - or know what the mix of locals/foreigners is?
ii) It seems a very friendly and easy going place - is this true?
iii) How's commuting into Geneva - by car and/or train?
iv) We have a 18month child - any comments on child care etc?

Anything else you can tell us would be very useful.

Thanks

Bootz

It's far, remote, isolated, not international at all I would expect. I'd never go there but to hike, mountainbike or ski. Comuting must be hell, even most in winter, not to speak about the absolutely not environmental friendly aspect of it. The place not to be, but on holidays, to me.

Did you move up there in the end?  I would be interested to know if you did, as we are also now considering the move.... :-)))

Woould love to know as well?

Planning to find a place through couleru.ch (local real estate)

I am fine with isolation,  I am curious what the commute will be like.  I am a total winter baby so cold is not an issue for me!

I just spent the weekend there. It's above the clouds, so way better weather then damp and dreary Geneva. The train connection is great, and the people I stayed with were lovely and international.

Plus it's beautiful.
