Dead car

Hi,

My car decided to stop working today and I had to leave it parked on a blue zone.

Does any know of a good garage service that could come and have a look? (and how much they will charge?)

I have heard of TCS, how much will it cost to get them to come, i dont have a membership.

Thanks

You can't just sign up when it suits you to TCS, otherwise everyone would do that.

Garage is the only option. I hope you get it sorted out.

You could call them and ask how much it would be for them to come when you are not a member, or else you could join . According to their website your membership is valid the day after joining and paying.

Compare with garage prices also, even just for  towing away to a garage, because that is what the TCS will do, to a garage recognised by them, if they are unable to fix your car immediately themselves in their mobile workshop.

I did, actually.

Walked to a local garage. A guy came with a hammer, banged the hell out of the fuel tank and the car started.

The fuel pump was to blame. Drove it to the garage and got a new pump installed

Very glad all has ended so well.

And would also like to add that the garage man

you found by chance proved to be honest and efficient, which goes to show that good service does still exist in Geneva despite what some would have us believe.
