Does a Swiss LCD (HDMI) TV work in the UK?
We are moving back to the UK and have a large flatscreen LCD (HDMI) TV which we bought here in Geneva.

Does anybody know whether it would work in the UK (apart from the plug, of course, which needs an adapter)?

it will not work on the uhf ( normal tv signal antenna input ) because of the difference in PAL G and Pal I. however, if your tv can switch ( most modern tv's can ) between pal g and pal i , then there won't be a problem. check out the specifications page in the user manual

Many thanks everyone for your kind advice, especially to epicure who very kindly took the time to explain what might be a problem; in fact, he is right, one can change between the different PAL settings on our tv - but better to know and be sure about! Best wishes, Hannah
