All the ophthalmologists in Geneva have waiting-lists for appointments, so if your problem is becoming urgent go to the Eye Clinic of Geneva’s University Hospital (where my own visual impairment is very well cared for).

I Use Dr JM Baumgartner  - but hes in Versoix.

He's experienced and good  - but its Versoix not Geneva & he may be busy .

I know of a great FEMALE ophtalmologist! Dr Hana Abou Zeid. She used to work at the Hopital des Yeux in Lausanne but luckily for me, recently opened a practice in the center of town, rue Robert-Céard - see her website:  http://www.azophtalmologie.ch/  state-of-the-art equipement and speaks fluent English !!!

Great with children too.

I go to Dr. Yves Cohen at Permanence Medico-Chirurgicale de Chantepoulet. His english is good, and Ive never had a problem getting an appointment. I've had some real vision problems and he has really helped, so I trust him.

Thanks to all for your good advices. I ended up going to Dr Hana Abou Zeid at  http://www.azophtalmologie.ch/ . 

Great doctor ! really ! and the clinic is so modern ! never had that before in Geneva...had a next day appointment, perfect english, the assistant speaks fluent english as well, and location is just fine (next to Place du Molard). She studied at Johns Hopkins and Harvard....

will take my son and my husband there. 

Hello Sophia, I recommend the Center de l'Oeil in Geneva (www.centreoeil.ch)
They have several centers throughout the city and it's very easy to have a quick appointment.
I only go there now, they are fast and efficient.
