Cool and relaxing for the game tonight? Only if you go to someones house. Everywhere else its going to be crazy and hot. Persoally If i wasnt working i would go to Spring brothers because i like the atmosphere. But if you want something special go to the fan zone in Vernets

Hey I noticed someone emntioned Jardin Anglais ... on a day like this, if there is now a screen there, it should be great.

Thanks Maria for the suggestions. BTW, I once watch a game in Epilogue (23 rue de Monthoux) and it was cool & relaxing but by this stage of the competition you are probably right ...

Thanks again

Will probably be going to Centre Sportif Vernets to watch the game with hundreds of other Geman or Spanish fans in the open space with large screens.  I know some other glocals friends are also going.  Should be fun.  Join in.

Thanks Ahmed. I also heard it gets very busy in Vernet and seeing the screen may be a problem. I'll try Jardin Anglais & if that's not so good, I'll go to Lady Godiva.

Have fun everyone.

It's going to be over soon, but here's what I suggest you do for next time:

1. Find a laptop with a good battery.

2. Pack a pic-nic in a chilled box. I recommend gazpacho soup and a bottle or two of white wine but feel free to improvise here.

3. Head down to one of the Geneva parks that have WiFi, and watch on Zattoo. Hope the match is over in 90, otherwise the battery starts to strain.

[ I didn't expect the ville-de-geneve bandwidth to be up to streaming TV, but watching the Germany-Argentina game in parc des bastions proved me wrong ]

Yes I did Maria. Jardian Anglais offered 2 places ... the Pizzeria had a screen and also that floating restaurant Les Iles de la Rade adid too ... and the latter played some excellent Latin music too.

How are you doing? Still at work? I hope your work allowed you to see a bit of the game - if you are into footy.

HEY! Like I said, it was a suggestion for next time. You can interpret next time however you want of course - it you mean the next time you watch Germany-Spain in the 2010 World Cup semi final, then yeah, you'd need a time machine. But if you interpret it as Spain-Holland, any other match, or any other TV for that matter, no time machine is required.
