Does anyone know how to apply the extension of visa 'family / friend visit'? Anyone who has experienced in Geneva?
I would like to know the processing lead time and where to find the required documents to present.

Hello Jessica,
The visa holder will have to apply for the extension in person at the SEC during standard opening hours (9 - 15:30, the earlier in the morning, the better) at the latest 14 days before the original visa expires, providing the duly completed form you can find here and the additional documents listed on page 2 of this document.
Please note that Schengen visas (type C) will only be extended for very good reasons, e.g. a volcano forcing all airports to shut down, severe illness not allowing the applicant to travel etc.
