Indoor rock climbing

Hi!

I am hoping someone out there is willing to take me indoor rock-climbing in Geneva. I've got my own harness and shoes. In the American system my level is around a 5.9 but it's been a while since I have climbed indoors.

Hope to hear from you!

Cheers,

Carina

Yes! I would love to. Unfortunately I climb at a bouldering room, but I heard a place in Q'uel d'arve or something like that has a lead climbing wall...I'm excited because I'm a better lead climber and I have never seen the place inside. Before I came here 2 months ago I was on 5.12's. It should be interesting to see where I am now. If you're still interested let me know.

Peace.

Hi,

There is a bouldering site in Vernier http://panstructure.ch/ - quite nice (as for a builder). I have heard about the place Markus mentioned, but personally i have never been there. From time to time I go to VitamParc http://www.vitamparc.com/en/page/climbing-zone and I could take you there one day, if you wish. Not that I'm a particularly good climber...

Cheers,

Marek

Hi!

I've never tried climbing before but would love to give it a try... Is there a place for complete beginners where I can get few lessons?

Cheers,

Irina

Hi Irina,

The above mentioned VitamParc claims to have climbing lessons for adult beginners. Visit their site for details, or just call them.

But probably the best way just to try is to get out with someone a bit more experienced... It is quite easy to begin...

Does anyone know if the climbing wall has self belaying lines?

I haven't been climbing in years and want to start back up again.

I don't even think I can remember how to belay!

Anyone in the same boat and want to learn again?

I'm happy to go out to VitamParc 1 or 2 times a week and am keen to start maintenant!

Give me a shout if anyone's keen.

VitamParc is the best in the Geneva Area. Great setup and very large. With all difficulties.. Its in France, just across the boarder direction of Annecy (10-15 minutes out of city center). but there is a bus that goes there from Geneva Center.

Pan structure is just ok , its in Vernier, next to Gotcha (paintball, kids area, other attractions).
