Hi, we've just bought some ceiling lights from Ikea as our new apartment didn't have any when we moved in (is that normal?!) and are looking for someone to install them - can anyone recommend a reliable, relatively tidy, hanyman?!
Thanks!

This is indeed normal. Annoying, yet normal.
It's a fairly trivial task if you have access to a good drill and a proper bit, so long as you do not do it on Sunday and face the wrath of your Swiss neighbors for violating noise agreements.
If you would rather have someone do it, I would not be surprised if your building's concierge has a "cousin" or "brother" who is a handyman and would be prepared to do it on the cheap.

It might be fairly trivial but it is still better to get someone who knows what they are doing to avoid drilling into any cables in the wall by mistake! In Switzerland they tend to be pretty deeply installed in the walls, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

actually, IKEA ceiling lights usully have a hook in it. Nobody will allow you to drill the ceiling because they have a floor heating in most of the places. I installed all the lamps in my appartment by myself (hung on the hook, made it tight, connected the wires and that's it)
