Having returned this evening from my first trip home to Dublin in years, I am very hopeful there are other sarcastic Irish compatriotes here in Geneva. Are there?

Well it's not New York City, and the Irish are sadly few in number here. There are a few organisations, eg:
https://www.facebook.com/genevairishassociation/
They run a few events throughout the year, and even have a Fondue night, which is pretty Irish if you ask me, and not a bad night. Mostly oldies. There's also some trad dance association in Verney or somewhere.
On St Pat's day I went along to an event run by these guys: http://www.saconnex.ch/ where I expected to find some Irish people. They had some really great trad music, although a bit heavy on the bagpipes, and lots of green, but not a single Irish person to be found! I found only 2 English speakers (an American couple). It was some kind of parallel Irish appreciation universe.
There's a Guiness festival in Sion

Have you found Mulligans? occasssioaly the Emigrants play there, who are definately worth catching.

If you do happen to start a "night of craic" club in Geneva, please do post it here!

There is an Irish group on Glocals:
http://www.glocals.com/groups/geneva/irish-in-geneva-group.htm
but it has not been active for a year. Time to wake it up!

I'd vote for that!
I have noticed more Irish than I imagined here, especially in the International Orgs.
In the "normal" economy I've found that we tend to integrate quite quickly so maybe it's not so obvious that we're around.
The GIA is a good starting point.
