Would anyone be interested in a knitting group. Bern and Lausanne seem to have one, but I'm based in Geneva so I was thinking of starting one up.
It would be a fun, informal way of meeting people, and maybe we can all share expertise etc.

Sure, why not? But FYI there is already a Stich-N-Bitch knitting group that meets at the Starbucks by the river. Every Wednesday evening. Lots of crafty people. Check it out.

Ya'll check out Stich'n'Bitch Geneva Facebook page. Lots of activities are posted there. I don't knit, but my wife has a knitting shop in Carouge and is actively involved in knitting, giving lessons, etc.
