Do you have any suggestions for a 2 day and one overnight hike in Switzerland. We will start from Geneva and have a car.
Looking forward to hearing your suggestions.

As usual cannot give sensible suggestons so I am going to assume that kids mean 3 - 5 years old. So walk has to be not too long 2-3 hours to the hut and not too technical. And I assume car journey should not be longer than 2 hours
1. Lac de Tanay 2 hour walk up with kids : picture postcard location ; lake. Possibility to do something mhigher (le Grammont)
2. If France Chalet de Sales above Sixd Fer a Cheval 2-3 hours up. Possibility of going further in the afternoon or following day. Good fondu for Haute Savoie
3. La Barme above Champéry (you can walk or drive there) Climbing area suitable for beginners (but you will need rope helmet etc)
This is from memory and there are plenty of others Buy the Swiss Alpine Club book on huts (available in all climbing shops book stores) It states what facilities are available in each hut
Of couurse if they are older than my guess then the above info is useless

Great suggestion. Thanks so much.
This is great. I will save to do with my kids.
Next hike is sans enfants so if you have any suggstions for adults hiking overnight that would be great.
Many thanks

Sort and easy
Kandersteg to loesch les Bains using the cable cars and staying at the Schwarenbach (couple of hourse each day
Longer - stay at the Lammerenheutte from there eiteher back to Kandersteg or over the Rotes something or other to Englisten alp
Lac de Derborence to Ovronnaz staying at the Cabane rambert or the refuge de Dorbon 2-5 hours per day depending how you split it Or start from Aolalex to make it longer. Superb rout over the col de Brotse but not really marked and involves interesting cables from which you must not fall
Up to the Tierberglihuette 3 hours which is up and down only as any continuation is glacier
Dossenhuette from Rosenlaui and back down to innertkirchen (possible to do Dossenhorn cables all the way up. (It was raining when I got there so did not attempt)
If you are all fit there is another book -Randonnées en altitude but beware of the times . it sometimes takes me twice as long to go from A to B. One example 45 mins too 2 houurs and that was more than 10 years ago when I was reasonably capable.
These (except refuge de Darbon are CAS huts but there are other organisetions with huts

Great suggestions! Thank you guys.
Near Moléson and Jaun there are some interesting things to hike. You can roam the diverse path and stay either at Plan Francey at Moléson ( http://www.planfrancey.ch ) or Chalet du Soldat ( http://chaletdusoldat.ch/activits/index_fra.html ) for the night.
But basically there are many possibilities around ( you may want to check http://www.wanderland.ch/fr/itineraires/route-078.html ), and nation wide http://www.wanderland.ch/en/hiking-in-switzerland.html .

Hi Lara, you can find the guides and trails for hiking in this area on http://www.genferseegebiet.ch/en/excursionsnature/hiking. It's a very useful page and it's also in English.
What I can also recommend you would be to check out InterNations Community in Geneva. They have a group which organises hiking trips aroung Geneva. You can check it out here http://www.internations.org/geneva-expats.
