They organise days outing every Saturday and Sunday, with or without following a class , with a bus departure from Place des NAtions. It is English speaking and they have every class levels from total beginner to freeriders. It is a great way to meet people...

In addition to the international ski club, does anyone have recommendations or comments on taking the Skibus vs. other Gre Routiere buses?

Jenny... i am not sure I know what you are talking about... Where can you get these buses and which ski places would they take you to?  I have taken the train to Davos and Zermat from Geneva and it is very convinient.

I might go to the Porte du Soleil (probably Champery) area this Saturday for a day. Let me know if you are interested in joining.

The ski club offers a nice deal: bus, lessons and forfait, take some or all of them, as you prefer. Plus you'll meet friendly people along the way.

It's large coaches. You can just come in the morning and buy the ticket right there, but when you are several and/or want to go to a precise station, it could be interesting to reserve (you can do it on the website) because sometimes some buses are already complete.

Thank you for the invitation, but my little respiratory ailment kept me close to home this weekend.  I would love to join you, Bjorn, and Daleesha in two weeks.  Please pick a place as have not yet ski in Europe. 

I'm sorry to hear about the icy condition.  I've been rather spoiled with powder around Salt Lake City, Utah and can be little choosy against ice.  But maybe that's part of the experience for living here!

I was surprised with the iciness myself. I have been skiing here for the past few weekends and the conditions have been quite comparable to SLC.

BTW SLC is one of my favorite places. I went there late last year and did Alta, Snowbird, Brighton and  Deer Valley... absolutely magnificient.
