Does anybody know if there are any busses going to the nearest ski resorts, here from Geneva?
Thanks a lot for your input :-)

You should check out Geneva's Ski school - they do a trip every weekend and organise transport from close by Nations to the station. If you can already ski and have your own gear - its cheap - no more than 30CHF for transport plus lift pass. Its 50CHF to join the ski school for 1 year. You can find all the informations here:

Or you can take the bus from the bus station - between train station and the lake.
Better if you decide in the last minute - but i dont know timetables.

Hi Caroline,
There are a lot of buses going from the official "gare routière" every day during winter.
i just checked their website, there are 9 ski resorts to choose from (all in France, cheaper and faster... i know, don't ask).
direct link to what you're looking for : http://212.203.98.98/WD140AWP/WD140Awp.exe/CTX_5340-2-NzLIsocRBf/pag_02Trajet/SYNC_-460647390?M4
Haven't used those in a long time, what i remember is that buses leave early morning and leave from the ski resorts 4.30 pm (be there on time or you might have to find you're way back on your own... happend to me once!), the tickets are good value including travels and ski pass. the trips are usually around the 1h30 min. mark.
I know the university of geneva also organise trips, so does the CERN and probably a lot of other institutions.
The train station also has similar deals to swiss resorts like Verbier.
That should answer your question. :)

hmmmm true!... they have a really strange website system...
try this address http://212.203.98.98/
then click on the english flag, then Tickets - Reservation, then Ski Pass & Transportation.
Hope it works this time. if it doesn't, search for "gare routière Genève"
Good luck!
