Skype connection problem

anyone else having trouble connecting to Skype this evening?

Both my wife in UK and me in Geneva cannot get connected to Skype. I don't mean connected to each other, I mean actually connected to Skype itself (the icon stays grey and indicates that it's trying to connect ...... but never does)

Strangely neither of us can connect on MSN Messenger either.

I am experiencing the exact same thing and was about to post and ask if someone else was :-)

I have a Mac and my MSN hasnt been working for a while so I now use Atrium which seem to be working still...

I've reloaded it a few times... thinking it was my wifi... still grey... no joy

ps if youre wifi'ing HD TV from one room to another it slows down all bandwidth for computer etc ...incl glocals .

Everything but skype works here and I am not wifi'ing anything from room to room, but thanks for the info....
