Specialists covered by insurances

Guess this may be a stupid question but just realized that I have really limited knowledge on what kind of specialists are covered by insurances?

For example: dermatoglist? and what else? (English or French Speaking)

Normally all specialists are covered by the basic insurance, BUT double-check what kind of insurance you have: some offer so-called "family doctor models" or "HMO models" that are cheaper, but then you can't chose your doctor or have to see your family doctor first who has to address you to a specialist.

If you're not sure what model you're insured in (well, that at least you SHOULD know....) then contact your insurance and ask them.

Note that if you're insured by an international company (e.g. CERN) then it's a bit different, as they don't follow the Swiss law for basic health insurance. In that case, best thing is to contact them and ask.
