Summer camps for kids (5 and 8) - suggestions?

I'm starting (hopefully not too late) to make some plans for summer camps for our kids.  At our local maison du quartier (community center), they have summer camps, but unfortunately the max you can sign up or is 3 weeks, and you're lucky to get that.  That leaves a few more weeks for us to find some care.

Can anyone suggest some other options?  Eaux Vive area would be great.

thanks,

Sylvia

I forgot to mention - they speak some French (are going to public school here) so would be okay in either French or English.

I may also check into having them go to multiple Maison du Quartier summer programs, there's another one that has their program very close by. I should probably do some calling around today...

Good luck with your search!

If you pick up a copy of the free magazine Croque-Loisirs (http://www.croque-loisirs.com/) you'll get listings of many places that run camps for kids.  There are also listings in the Know-it-All Passport (www.knowitall.com).

Some listings in there include Playball (playballch.com), intersoccer, Village camps, etc.

Good luck,

-Michelle

There are some netball camps running for girls in Lancy and at La Chat school in July and August.  They are for beginners and those who have played before.

I like Gymboree for little ones, summer camp in the mornings, in English.

Ecolint camp very expensive, considering that they don't hire bilingual people for this (my daughter was with Sylvie and Mustapha...no English any of them, and I wanted her to practice her English, brrr).

My 9 year old stills remembers camp run by Maison des Sports in Annemasse (so in French), so good!! climbing, kayak...with professional teachers, and for a ridiculous price.

that's all I can remember, good luck

Zuzana,

I'm interested in a kids cooking camp for this summer in Geneva, but Eaux Vives is too far for us.

If you offer these classes closer to the Gare or to Grand Saconnex / Servette, could you pls let me know?

Dear Sylvia,

I saw your Post where you asking about summer camps.

I would suggest your summer camp in August for girls

https://m.facebook.com/GET-FIT-KIDS-980204365410480/

also, if you'd like to take few Piano classes (theory, rythmique, playing...etc). this summer, don't hesitate to contact me.

I speak French, Russian, and English and have big experience in teaching kids.

Very kind regards,

Yulia Panteleeva
