The Great British Sausage

I'm sorry but it's just one thing we do that the rest of Europe can't come close to. Off back to UK later this week. Does anyone know if I can bring them back in my hold luggage or not.

I don't know what the official line is but we have been bringing back sausages in our hand luggage once a year for the last 15yrs . We have never had a problem, cheese sometimes gets a look as it shows up as a dense block in the luggage. I'm off this thursday ad will be loading up again.

FYI Brian, I believe that while the total value limit is 300CHF, there is a 1kg of meat per person per day limit on bringing meat into Switzerland (also 5L of alcohol). That's the rule when entering from France at least. So you may get dinged if you have too much, or you could take your chances.
