Hi everybody!


I tried the Geneva Running Group and it is fantastic, but unfortunately I can not run much on concrete and I prefer to do on tracks (like the one along the Rhone, starting from Jonction).


Anyone interested in trail running two days per week? Around 18.00 or 19.00... We can look for new tracks close to Geneva, run with head torch when is dark, prepare trail competitions for summer, you name it!!!


As for the level: I used to run the 1/2 marathon in 1h 30 min, but after one year without training I am sure I will run at a pace of 5-6 min/km... but I do not mind waiting or to be waited ;=)

I didn't have my gps on yesterday, but we did something like this - http://www.attackpoint.org/sessiondata.jsp?sessionid=4032906 but in the opposite direction, without getting lost by Lignon and starting from Jonction.

I'm coming to Geneva in April and I would love to come train with you guys!I love trails (I'm not a huge competitor but I've done the Jungfrau marathon and the Trail des Paccots 2x), and have no clue where to train in the area so it would be awesome to join in!:)

I was thinking that we could use a system to know how many are attending the trainings on Monday (that way you can talk to them before or just know who is coming). Every weekend I will post the activity and those we are thinking on coming could just clic on "attending". I will post it every weekend even if I am not coming (and I will clic on "attending" if I am coming ;)). I'm going running (orienteering) in the woods tomorrow, down Pougny direction. As always, it will be fun and an adventure :)

They have short and easy courses for beginners, so don't be afraid.

I'm leaving from St Jean vers 12h30, possibly with space in the car. I'm not sure if there's a public transport option - the only direct train on Saturday leaves before 6am :)

The conditions are pretty fantastic for running at the moment. Assuming it continues, anyone up for adventures next weekend?


I could do something on Sunday, take a train or a car somewhere, then run and return (after dinner?). Or on Saturday afternoon, I'll be orienteering by Mont Mussy near Divonne/Gex, could drive somewhere after that, spend the night somewhere pretty, then go for a longer, slower run on Sunday.

I could do something on Sunday, take a train or a car somewhere, then run and return (after dinner?). Or on Saturday afternoon, I'll be orienteering by Mont Mussy near Divonne/Gex, could drive somewhere after that, spend the night somewhere pretty, then go for a longer, slower run on Sunday.

Oh, it seems the group has disintegrated. There is a mountain sports group http://www.glocals.com/groups/mountain-sports.htm which encompasses trail running.
