Actually this question comes up regularly (just try typing 'bike' in the search function!)
Nir gave a good answer in the recent thread 'Best Place to buy a bike':
Peclot 13, rue de l'Industrie (it's in the quartier des Grottes behind Cornavin station). They repair and sell bikes.
