I tried asking an Irish friend, and he told me to look for flocons d'avoine in the COOP or Migros, but I didn't find them to be the same as the McCann's steel cut oats. I now smuggle them back... but would be thrilled to find out if you learn where to find them here.

Yeah those are nowhere close to what I'm used to! Will have to suss a mule to bring loads back for me from the UK.
