Hi Hemani, my husband is also a junior doctor who recently found work in Switzerland (canton of Vaud). He simply researched hospital wards he was interested in working for and sent a CV and cover letter to the chief of each ward. He was invited to a few interviews and accepted the best offer! He'll be a 'medecin-assistant' in a specific ward, on track to become a specialist after a certain number of years.

Thanks so much for your reply it was really helpful. What does he want to specialise in and where did he graduate from? What does he think of the level of teaching he receives?

I feel like the system in the UK is so great for training that I want to stay there and complete my training before moving but it's difficukty to assess as I know so little about the system here in Switzerland!
