Working as a doctor in CH when coming from non-EU country

Hello,

I would like to exchange experiences with doctors from nonEU countries regardong their efforts in diploma recognition, obtaining a right to practice from the canton, volunteering, etc.

In 99% of cases, these diplomas are not recognized.

Thank you! I am aware of the MEBECO requirements. They state that 3 years of clinical experience in CH is needed, followed by the taking of the state exam. What troubles me is how to obtain those three years of work experience. Who can hire a doctor in this status and how?

I can’t say for sure but I believe small private clinics are able to offer opportunities to doctors in your situation.  But you’d need to check the rules and regulations which may be cantonal as well as federal.
