geneva west side bars

Hi !

i have already found some nice bars in the eastern side of Geneva (old city, plainpalais)

but i can not say the same for the west side (cornavin , servette, near airport).

Does anyone has to propose an interesting place around these (west) areas?

A nice place you can go with a small company or colleagues for wine/beer?

thank you,

charis

I would add Scandale rue de Lausanne, or the "No Comment" bar rue de Bourgogne (but the area is far less interresting, just mention it as you mentionned the servette/airport area and it's not that far).

Ah, and by the way people in Geneva say right and left side, not west and east, not sure many people would really get what you mean by east and west otherwise :p

If interested in exploring the area I can email any of you a map I used for a bar crawl through the area last December, see my profile for details.

gabs lounge is interesting.  there was a lounge in the detroit airport hilton i think, that burned down in 1987 and its an exact replica.  the music can be pretty good.  on that note if you like bars with an 80's airport hotel lounge feel to it (and who doesnt?)  there is also the wall street cafe on rue arnold winkelried which certainly has architechtual roots in the sioux falls south dakota airport ramada lounge before they ripped it out and put in the swanky new castaways bar and grill...
