I've done it in the past - it's no so hard :-) 

Kombwhatsit's a lovely refreshing drink for the upcoming sizzling european summer, naturally sparkling on ice please. I've not heard tell of this scoby fella. I'll give that a go and maybe try combining with my home made ginger ale. I have used my SCOBY for some time now, and it has been very nice. Lately though, in the last months, I have noticed that it does no longer work well. It is too vinegary and doesn't eat the sugar like it did. Do you know what it means? Is the SCOBY no longer good?

One thing I can tell is that I often left it too long in the same tea, without changing it.
