Lausanne - Neighborhood Recommendations?

Hi everyone,

We are a famliy of 4 (2 children) and will relocate to Lausanne within the next months (my husband will be visiting Lausanne next week).

I would like to know which areas are nice to live in with kids? I am aware of how difficult it is to find accomocation in the Lausanne area, but if possible, we would like to have a friendly quite neighbourhood with good kindergarden/schools and access to public transportation. We also don't mind looking at smaller towns just outside of Lausanne.

What's your advice? Any recommendations you are able to give are much appreciated!

Hi Marion. good areas are Chailly, Ouchy, Bergiere Pierrefleur, Pully Rosiaz Lutry close the publics transportation , schools and kindergarden. Belmont La Conversion a bit outside but very quit ,very nice but expensive. I hope this information can help you. Angela

Pully - very nice and easily accessible to Lausanne with public transport - 3 minutes by train, 12 minutes by bus

I dont think I have met a person who doesnt like Pully

We also have two Children. We are in La Tour de-Peilz

Its not far from Lausanne by train (20min?) and beautiful.

I guess all I can say is that, if you land a place you like and is close to your school and the train, it won't be far to anywhere.

Good luck in your search. Let me know if you'd like to get together for a playdate. My kids are 4.5 year old and 1.5 year old.
