I am looking for a small modern apartment in a nice, friendly, very safe, clean area in Lausanne or nearby close to the lake or with scenic view.
Could you help me to give a bit of a taste of the city, neighbourhoods or places more receptive to foreigners that don't know French yet?

I think south and south east parts are what you are looking for.
Ouchy, Mosquines, Sous-gare, Grancy, Montchoisi...maybe Pontaise (not posh, but very charming friendly).
