Because there are two possible assumptions being made?:

1. Only men have jobs that are important enough for them to be expatriated by their UK/US (fill in the gaps) company, so they come to Switzerland to work whilst their wives have nothing to do all day except go shopping/lunching with the other expat, bored, housewives.

OR

2. Its a traditional Swiss company who, in traditional Swiss style, don't approve of women working for a living and ergo, assume they should be free to do some voluntary work to promote their company, in exchange for free holidays for their hubby and little ones.

Either assumption sucks, Ed, so I hope I'm wrong Cool

Thank you for your comments.

To answer to you Edward, we are looking for women because the response to  our previous postings have only interested women. Let me precise, not only housewives but working and independent ladies.

I would however like to reconsider Carolyn's statement.

In fact, if you have read about the typical Swiss culture, is a country that believes in women's independence.

You should know that, only 25% of the women in Switzerland are housewives.

Moreover, more than half of the members of the federal council are women (57%). Which shows that contrary to your statement, women in Switzerland are meaningful, they are probably the leaders of tomorrow.

This posting has nothing to do with discrimination. And I believe that everyday our society is fighting against your assumptions. I was hoping that on the 20th Century, we wouldn't even think about that eventuality.

Org-vac is just trying to expand its communication to people outside Switzerland.

So if you are interested with this offer Carolyn, we are open to receive your recommendations!Smile
